Makeup phone conference for Pacific
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has scheduled a new listening session on the Ocean Policy Strategic Action Plans via telephone conference on June 29, 12:30pm, Pacific Standard Time.
According to Andy Winer, director of NOAA’s Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives, the new listening session is necessary due to the technical difficulties that disrupted the Pacific region’s first listening session.
“Despite our contract with the Neil S. Blaisdell Center, the facility’s Internet service was non-functional for much of the afternoon, and, as a result, we were unable to operate the satellite hook-up,” he said. “We remain committed to receiving comments from stakeholders throughout the Pacific and would like to extend the opportunity to join a makeup session.”
To participate, contact Winer’s deputy, James Chang, at james.chang@noaa.gov, so he can share the dial-in information and ensure that there are enough lines available on the conference call.
“Please be certain to indicate which island you will be calling from, so that he can include appropriate instructions to join the call toll-free,” Winer added.
Alternatively, comments may be submitted via the National Ocean Council’s website, http://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/eop/oceans/sap.
