The SUFA Softball Association has scheduled a 6pm coaches and team representatives meeting tonight at the pavilion behind Gilbert C. Ada Gym for teams interested in participating in its fundraising softball tournament scheduled from June 24 to June 26 at the Capital Hill Ballfield.

There is a $100 entrance per squad and the first 10 teams to pay in full will be allotted spots. So far, five teams have already signed up.

The tourney will follow a double-elimination format with one modified co-ed rule. At least two female players must be on the field (and in the lineup) at all times.

Prizes are up for grabs but have not been determined yet.

Proceeds of this weekend’s tourney will go toward Team SUFA’s trip to Portland, Oregon where they will compete in the highly anticipated 2011 Annual Labor Day Softball Tournament.
