The CNMI Softball Association will hold its initial organizational meeting for the upcoming 2011 Men’s Island-Wide Fast-Pitch Softball League at 6pm today at the pavilion behind the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

Opening day for the league is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 31. The deadline to submit rosters and entrance fees is Monday, Oct. 17.

Players must be at least 16 years old and rosters are limited to 16 players per team; the league has also capped an 8-team limit.

The entrance fee will be determined based on the number of participating teams and will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.

As the association is an active member of the International Softball Federation, this will be a competitive league played under ISF’s Official Rules Of Softball.

Interested individuals, teams, and/or potential sponsors can obtain more information from Juan Maratita at 256-7363.
