Copper wire theft at dog pound

Crime Stoppers is seeking the community’s assistance for information on a burglary and theft incident that occurred at the Mayor of Saipan’s Dog Pound facility in Lower Base.

On Friday, April 25, 2012, at about 8am, employees working at the dog kennel discovered that the power lines connected to the CUC power pole had been cut and stolen. The contractor working on the kennels reported the theft. Police learned the kennel was secured by the contractor at the end of the work day on Thursday, April 24, 2012. About 120 feet of electrical copper wire was stolen.
