An opulent dining experience at reasonable prices awaits diners at the Monte Vista Steak House Restaurant.

Nestled on the slopes of Navy Hill, Monte Vista offers a breathtaking view of the Saipan lagoon and the CNMI’s signature hotspot, Managaha Island.

However, the former Marianas Resort’s million-dollar vista is not the only reason tourists and locals alike have been driving up Navy Hill for lunch and dinner.

Manager Ju Yeon Lee said Monte Vista offers an eclectic selection of food, ranging from American, Italian, and Korean, to a fusion of Japanese and local cuisine.

Food is carefully prepared by the skilled hands and expert palates of their four cooks.

She said almost everything Monte Vista serves is made from scratch and majority of their produce are organically grown at their farm, which is adjacent to the property.

Service is something Lee is also proud of as Monte Vista’s waitstaff are always at their guests’ beck and call.

Monte Vista may scream five-star dining, but Lee assures that the restaurant’s price range is affordable even during these tough economic times.

For instance, Monte Vista’s daily lunch specials only cost $9.99 and this month the restaurant is serving sure-fire hits like Seafood Marinara Pasta, Hamburger & Pork Cutlet Combo, Spaghetti Carbonara, and BBQ Lunch Set.

The entrees come with either garlic toast or French fries. It also comes with complimentary soup and iced tea as well as all-you-can eat salad and dessert.

Diners looking for other entrees can also order from Monte Vista’s a la carte menu.

Monte Vista is open for lunch from 11am to 2pm and seats around 70 guests comfortably.

Sunset barbecue

Monte Vista is also looking to capture the dinner market with its Sunset BBQ offering.

Lee said what makes the restaurant’s Sunset BBQ different from others is that diners can choose from packaged meals and cook them the way they want to.

The set meals, depending on the package, are made up of a salad, rice, soup, barbecued baby ribs, lobster tail, shrimp, calamari, chicken wings, sausages, mussels, and dessert of seasonal fruits.

The restaurant’s barbecue area can seat up to 200 guests and is open for dinner from 6pm to 10pm.
