Underscoring its support of providing a quality education for local students, the Pacific Islands Club Saipan donated $10,000 to the Northern Marianas College Foundation last Friday.

“The donation is made to support the college’s efforts to enhance its program offerings and services,” said Kieran Daly, general manager of the Pacific Islands Club Saipan. “It is extremely important that CNMI students have easy access to a high quality education locally so that they can become productive members of this community.”

The donation was also presented in support of the upcoming 7th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament, which is organized by the NMC Foundation. The tournament, the organization’s signature event, aims to raise critical funds to support NMC’s academic programs and services.

“We were pleasantly surprised when we learned of the sizable donation from the Pacific Islands Club,” said Ben Babauta, president of the NMC Foundation. “We are truly grateful for their commitment to advancing higher education in the CNMI.”

The NMC Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to raise funds to support the Northern Marianas College, the CNMI’s lone postsecondary educational institution. The organization is composed of individuals who are dedicated and committed to ensuring that CNMI students receive the utmost support in pursuing their educational goals.

“We are deeply appreciative of PIC’s donation,” said NMC president Dr. Carmen Fernandez. “Their contribution will make a significant impact on the college.”
