DFS netfest entry deadline Sunday
Organizers of the 28th Annual DFS Micronesian Championships are reminding interested participants in the adults doubles and juniors singles to submit registration forms on or before Sunday, May 17, at 5pm.
Competitions in the adults doubles and juniors singles will run from May 22 to 25.
From May 29 to 31, the annual tournament will have the adults singles and junior doubles and deadline for submission of entry forms is on May 24.
Northern Mariana Islands Tennis Association is encouraging members of the tennis community to participate in the two-weekend tournament, as proceeds of the event will be used in the CNMI Junior Team’s off-island competitions.
Next month, CNMI junior netters will go to Guam for the North Pacific Qualifying tournament. The qualifier will run from June 15 to 19 and will have the CNMI junior netters battling the host, Palau, and FSM players.
Commonwealth bets who will make the grade in Guam will then suit up for the North Pacific Team and will travel to Fiji in August for the 2009 Pacific Oceania Junior Championships.
