Live fire, inert mine releases on Farallon

The Emergency Management Office, in conjunction with U.S. Naval Forces Marianas Guam, said the U.S. military would be conducting inert releases and live fire releases on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla next week.

The scheduled dates and time are as follow:

May 19-21 from 1pm-7pm: Inert mine releases

May 21 from 2pm-7pm: Live fire releases

The general locations of this activity will be on the island of Farallon de Mendenilla Training Area a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants. Due to the danger imposed by this activity, EMO is strongly advising the public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators—to stay away from this area during the time and dates indicated.
