CNMI contractors and inspectors are invited to attend a free erosion and sediment control certification training, with complimentary lunch and a networking happy hour, on May 27 and 28, from 8am to 5pm at the Pacific Islands Club.

Presented by the Division of Environmental Quality and Coastal Resources Management, this free training and certification program will provide industry professionals with the knowledge and hands-on skills required to assure compliance with the requirements contained in the 2006 CNMI/Guam Stormwater Management Manual.

The program includes a combination of classroom learning and field demonstration, along with information on where to buy materials for soil erosion control. Participants will receive free reference materials to ensure compliance beyond the classroom.

Certification will be required for all contractors! Take advantage of this free training and networking event before the regulations go into effect.

A final certification exam will be administered at end of the workshop.

For registration form and information, contact Brian Bearden or Kathleen Herrmann, Division of Environmental Quality, at 664-8500. Space is limited and registration is required.
