According to Philippine Consul General Wilfredo DL. Maximo, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration recently issued a memorandum concerning the additional requirement to facilitate the registration of employers and employment contracts of overseas Filipino workers.

Employers/principals are now required to sign all pages of the employment contract and that of the addendum to the employment contract, if an addendum is required or presented.

Maximo urges employers and employer representatives to comply with this new requirement so as not to incur delays in the processing and verification of the employment contracts with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office here on Saipan and the eventual registration of these documents with POEA in the Philippines.
