Grants writing workshop for govt employees
A grants writing workshop will be held for government employees, according to Dr. Peter C. Eche, a training consultant from the Office of Personnel Management.
The first session will be held on May 18 and 19, from 9am to 4pm, at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe.
The second session will be held on May 21 and 22 on the same time and venue.
Eche, in a memorandum to all department and activity heads, said Dr. Judith Clark of the Hawaii Youth Services Network will conduct the workshop, through a coordinated effort with the Department of Public Works’ Division of Energy.
Nominees of government departments are asked to see Maxima Cruz, training coordinator, for registration because seats are limited. The last day of registration is May 11.
In an earlier memorandum, Gov. Benigno R. Fitial reminded department and activity heads to consult with Eche on all matters pertaining to the training of government employees under their respective offices.
“On-island and off-island training programs must be approved by Dr. Peter Eche’s training office to ensure employee training effectiveness and overall organizational accountability for our government,” the governor said.
Eche may be reached at the Office of Personnel Management office in Garapan or through 233-9037.
