Transpac Group donates $2,500 to Eucon Int’l College
In a continuing effort to support education, Transpacific International Inc. and its affiliated companies, Coca-Cola Beverage Company (Micronesia) Inc., Foremost Foods Saipan, Subway Investments Corp., and Glimpses of Saipan Inc., recently donated $2,500 to Eucon International College.
For two years now, the Transpac Group has been in partnership with Eucon International College in promoting excellence in education through the gift of education tax credit.
In accepting the contribution, Judy Wei, executive vice president of Eucon International College, said, “We are extremely thankful to Subway for this donation.”
Wei said a portion of the donation will help in building school facilities and purchase of books and equipment.
“I believe this will also encourage our students to always go to Subway and eat more healthful meals as well as drink the healthy options from Coca-Cola and Foremost,” Wei added.
She also added that if more businesses would like to support education with their tax donation, “it would be really helpful to improve school programs.” She hailed Subway as a good corporate citizen that contributes positively to the improvement of education in the Northern Marianas.
Marcos W. Fong, executive vice president of Transpacific International Inc., said, “Supporting education continues to be a priority for our group of companies. We are pleased to partner with an institution such as Eucon to help build the future for tomorrow’s leaders. It is important for us to give back to the community that supports us and there is no better way than through education.”
He added, “We continue to support various programs that supplement the hard work our educators put into the students.” (PR)
