Poker arcade in CK robbed—again
A poker arcade in Chalan Kanoa that was robbed two years ago was robbed again on Friday.
No one was reported hurt in the robbery.
The suspect, described as male who covered the bottom part of his face with a piece of cloth, reportedly managed to run off with a still undetermined amount of cash from Smile Poker.
According to Department of Public Safety spokesperson Lei Ogumoro yesterday, the suspect was armed with a blunt object and was described as wearing a long-sleeved shirt, long pants and a baseball cap.
Ogumoro said that on Friday at 5:18am DPS received a report about an armed robbery at Smile Poker.
Ogumoro said preliminary investigation showed that the armed suspect, wearing a cloth to conceal his face, first entered the establishment and instructed the security guard to go to the counter.
The suspect then demanded money from the cashier, who handed over an undetermined amount of money.
“This case is under further investigation,” Ogumoro said.
In April 2007, a security guard was injured when three men staged an armed robbery at the same establishment.
Police later arrested four suspects: Fernando Quitano, Christopher Lee Muna, Joseph San Nicolas alias Jun Dagu, and Martin P. Cepeda.
