Former Pacific Xtreme Combat heavyweight champion Manny “The Enforcer” Chong of Guam will go up against Saipan’s Tony Robert in the main event of Trench Warz Rites of Passage 7: Fist of Fury set on May 23 at the Royal Taga Hall of Saipan World Resort.

Chong is a well-respected veteran of MMA events in Guam and is almost always featured in the main events of MMA fights in the U.S. territory.

Robert, meanwhile, is fighting out of Team Tech 9 and weighs 280 lbs.

Chong lost the heavyweight title to Saipan’s Charlz “The Predator” Aiken in PXC 10: Final Redemption at the University of Guam Fieldhouse in February 2007.

Aiken has just won a non-title fight in the undercard of the Gorilla Warfare MMA “Battle Ready” last Saturday over Guam’s Mike Davis at the Saipan World Resort.

The semi-main event in the Rites of Passage 7: Fist of Fury will be between Guam’s Jess “The Spiderman” Taitano and Saipan’s Jay “Taby” Muna.

Trench Tech president and promoter Cuki Alvarez said there will be 14 total bouts for the ROP 7.

Alvarez said tickets for this event will be sold at $25 each. “All will be guaranteed to become VIP guests,” he said.
