ME Weekend graduates 24 couples

The CNMI Chapter of the Worldwide Marriage Encounter graduated 24 new couples from its Spring Weekend, which took place March 27-29, 2009. The presenting team consisted of Jess and Anicia Sonoda, Fr. Isaac Ayuyu, Mike and Jeanne Emry and Julian and Marcia Calvo, with Bishop Tomas A. Camacho welcoming the new couples at the start of the Encounter.
The Marriage Encounter community also selected its new Ecclesial Leadership Team, facilitated by the Section 12 leaders Mike and Jeanne Emry from California. The new leaders are couple Vince and Hilma Castro and Fr. Ayuyu. The Chapter cited Ayuyu and couple Charles and Cathy Cepeda for the past two years of leadership service.
The Marriage Encounter community will be having a weekend reunion on Thursday, April 2, 2009, starting with a 6pm Mass, followed by the reunion at the Saipan Grand Hotel’s Seaside Hall. For newly encountered couples, this will be their final presentation of the Weekend. Encountered couples are invited to meet the new couples.
