Superior Court Associate Judge Ramona V. Manglona has imposed a five-day prison term on an ex-convict who damaged a car’s side mirror.

Manglona sentenced Peter Reyes Lizama to one year in prison, all suspended except for five days, for criminal mischief.

The judge ordered the 34-year-old Lizama to report to the Department of Corrections on April 11 at 8am. The defendant will be released from prison on April 16 at 8am. He will then be placed on unsupervised probation for one year.

Manglona ordered Lizama to pay an $800 fine and a $25 court assessment fee within one month from his release.

Manglona said restitution will be determined by the government within two weeks.

Lizama and counsel, assistant public defender Douglas W. Hartig, entered a plea agreement with the government, represented by chief prosecutor Kevin Lynch.

The defendant pleaded guilty to criminal mischief.

Lynch agreed to withdraw the government’s motion to revoke Lizama’s probation in his previous criminal case.

The government charged Lizama for damaging the side mirror of a vehicle belonging to Florence C. Sablan on July 122, 2007.
