Freedom Air, Beach Boys in easy wins
Freedom Air zoomed to its third straight win and fortified its playoff bid after pounding Public School System, 9-3, in the Budweiser Inter-Government/Business Slow-pitch Softball League Monday night at the Capital Hill Ballpark.
Left fielder Joe Lizama led the win with impeccable offense, going 3-for-3 with four runs that included homers in his first two at bats.
Dennis Cruz and Dante Sablan singled in the first inning before Roy Celis flied out to left field. Lizama then hit a homerun that scored Cruz and Sablan.
Emery Fitial gave PSS its first run in the bottom first then Ton Aguon scored on a double by Cruz that made it 3-1 for Freedom Air.
Celis and Lizama increased the lead to 5-1 with their successive solo homeruns in the third and Freedom Air never looked back.
Celis went 3-for-4, had three runs, two RBIs, a homerun, and a double.
With the win, Freedom Air tied the Beach Boys at second place with similar 13-3 win-loss records.
PSS must win its last three assignments for a chance to make it to the playoff round with its 5-11 record.

Beach Boys 7, Law & Order 0[/B]
Beach Boys players didn’t have to flex their muscles to score back-to-back wins via forfeit after Law and Order failed to show up with enough players Monday.
It was the third forfeited game for Law and Order (3-11), which needs to win its last five games to enter the playoffs.
The Top 10 teams after the regular season will advance to the playoffs.
The regular season will end on March 27, barring any weather delay of the scheduled games.
[B]DLNR 17, P&S 15[/B]In the other game on Monday, Department of Lands and Natural Resources rallied back to score a 17-15 win over P&S.
DLNR is in 10th place with its 7-10 record but needs to win its two remaining games to assure itself of the playoffs.
P&S slipped to the 12th spot and needs to win at least three of its four remaining assignments to make the cut.
