Diane Camacho returned to Saipan Bowling Center Monday night with better form en route to winning the 2009 Budweiser Queen of the Lanes title for February.

Camacho played in the first day of the February roll-off Sunday night, but her 700 pinfalls in four games was good only for third place behind Yho Villavicencio’s 702 and Ron Cal’s 703.

In the last day, Camacho came back with vengeance, knocking 742 pins to overtake Cal and Villavicencio, who also played in the second day, but scored lower than their first day outputs.

Participants in the monthly roll-off can bowl on both days, but only the higher score will be counted.

Camacho had a good start in the second day with her 202 pinfalls in Game 1, slowed down in Game 2 with 161, but improved in the last two games with 181 and 198 pinfalls for a total of 742. She had an average of 185.50 pinfalls.

Cal and Villavicencio settled for second and third places, respectively. Cal tallied only 660 pinfalls in the second day, while Villavicencio had 697.

Twelve other lady keglers joined the February roll-off. They were Diane Chong (686), Emi Williams (683), Gloria Omechelang (674), Elena Soll (639), Lala Taitano (639), Linda Yarobwemal (631), Mindy Taitano (629), Lillian Gutierrez 615), Gigi Zapanta (589), Carol McKenzie (570), Eileen Schardt (565), and Cora Muna (503).

In the 2009 Budweiser King of the Lanes race, Ador Dimaano dislodged first day leader Percy Omechelang from the top spot with the former scoring 857 pinfalls in the last day of the roll-off.

Omechelang took the lead after day one with his 835 pinfalls and returned in the second day, but scored only 816 pinfalls, which was good only for fourth overall.

Dimaano was still finding his rhythm in Game 1 recording only 187 pinfalls, but went berserk in the last three games with his 237 in Game 2, 207 in Game 3, and 226 pinfalls in Game 4 for an average of 214.25 pinfalls.

Raymond Zapanta finished third with his 825 pinfalls.
