A very big thank you
I believe this is an overdue statement to give special thanks and kudos to all the people involved in spearheading the National Forensic League, Thespian, Mathcounts and other various school competitions.
Allow me to extend my deepest appreciation to the entire Public School System and private institutions involved one way or the other in making these competitions alive and successful. As a parent who is also involved in these events, I can testify that my child gained a lot from winning and representing our island to compete in the national level.
It’s not just the parents who are proud of their children’s achievements but also the schools they represent as well as the island community. With the talents of our school children, I humbly request PSS, parents, organizers and the schools to continue these endeavors.
Also, let me extend my sincerest thanks to Messrs. Thornburg, Smith and Ms. Norman as well as the entire PSS in collaboration with their schools for allowing the organizers and students to conduct these events, with the full support of the Commissioners, board members, school principals and especially the teachers, past and present, who unselfishly devote their time and effort to make this happen.
Some people in particular I don’t want to miss thanking, especially,Mr. Harold Easton of Marianas High School, Mr. Andrew Golden of Southern High and especially to the judges who participated in various competitions, past and present, and who gladly commit and voluntarily give their time and effort.
Lastly, to all the parents who support their children and are always there watching the events unfold, I salute them all. Whether the students make it or not to the top, you are still the best. Do not give up easily. Always focus on whatever you plan to achieve. It will need perseverance, hard work, patience and most of all you must love what you do and I can say you will succeed in the future.
