Ali’i Kamote holds lead in Masters league

Es’y Kitchen’s Ali’i Kamote, Jonny’s Sparks, SOS Bar & Grill’s DJ Fish, VFW Post 3457’s Good Guys II and Jonny’s AG Sakude emerged as the frontrunners in the Saipan Electronic Dart Association’s 2012 Bud Light Summer/Winter League after last week’s games.

Ali’i Kamote notched a solid 12-5 victory at home over fourth-ranked SOS’s All Stars (78-75) last Wednesday to improve its record 98-55 for first place in the Masters division. Ali’i Kamote is enjoying an eight-game cushion atop the leaderboard against VFW’s Maharot Crew (90-63), who endured an 8-9 road upset over the sixth placer SOS Destroyers (72-81).

In other Masters results, third-ranked Bammy’s Aces (83-70) gained some ground with a 12-5 home win over sister-team Sabalu Boyz (57-96), while SOS’s Mixblood Rookies (77-76) bested host team D’Companeros (57-96), 10-7, at VFW.

In the C division, the Sparks burned Naked Fish’s Island-Apparel-OH MG!, 10-5, at home to improve to a 77-58 slate.

Bammy’s DRP (72-63) sits five games back in second place after downing 19th Hole Bar’s Hole In One (44-91), 11-4, on the road, while VFW’s Party Rock (71-64) remains in third place after going into Naked Fish and knocking off Hafa Mas! (61-74), 9-6. In other results, Oceanside Bar & Grill’s V1 (70-65) Shooters downed sister team V2 Shooters (66-69), 10-5, in a home draw.

In the B Fanihi division, DJ Fish remains at the helm of its group with its 82-38 record, but still needs to finish a make-up game against Naked Fish’s IT&E Na’Gupu (54-66).

In other B Fanihi games, Bammy’s DRP 2 (80-55) moved into second place after a 13-2 rout over bottom feeder host Oneshot (55-80) at Poseidon; SOS Lights Out (75-60) fell to the third spot after absorbing a 7-8 home upset to sixth placer Es’y Kitchen’s Kitchen Shooters (60-75); and fourth placer VFW Dutty Gunz (61-74) survived Jonny’s Adventurers (58-77), 8-7.

B-Flame Tree leader Good Guys II (76-59) cling to the top spot by a thread after being shocked at home by Joe’s runner up Skoregazzzums (75-60, 8-9. The Skoregazzzums are just a game behind the Good Guys II.

In other results, Jonny’s Rehab (72-63) defeated The Water Front (64-71),10-5, on the road to remain in third place, while Retsa Sakude II! (68-67) is tied with 19th Hole’s Darts Freaks (68-67) for the fourth spot. Retsa Sakudi II! triumphed over Lilapuching (57-78), 10-5, at home and the Dart Freaks toppled SOS’s What U Got? (60-75), 9-6, on the road.

In the inter-government division, AG Sakude overcame second-ranked CUC Power Plant (86-49), 9-6, on the road at Bammy’s to improve to a 94-41 slate, while the DPS Bad Boyz (46-89) made it past Naked Fish’s NMC PROA (44-91), 8-7, at home in Jonny’s.
