Jets face Legislature, No Zone meets Law & Order
Joeten Motors Jets will face Legislature, while No Zone will meet Law & Order in the 2008-2009 Budweiser Inter-Government/Business Slow-pitch Softball League tonight at the Capital Hill Ballfield.
The Jets and No Zone currently share fourth to fifth places with identical 8-3 win-loss cards.
The Jets won its previous game after rallying from a sluggish start before coming home with a 18-9 victory over P&S last Jan. 29.
Legislature is in solo sixth with an 8-4 record, while lowly Law & Order is in 15th place at 3-8.
Game time for the Jets-Legislator match is scheduled at 6:30pm.
The Jets will be led by pitcher Shane Tenorio, Cliff Saul, J.J. Cabreara, J.J. Laniyo, Ben Taisacan, Jess Taitano, Dung Tenorio, Myron Sablan, Ernest Rangamar, Hector Efraim, Donald Flores, and Jason Reyes.
Legislator hopes to get timely plays from Paul Lizama, Ross Manglona, Ben Camacho, Toi Celis, Fonze Tarope, Mitch Aaron, Bill Olaitiman, Chico Ilo, Pete Towai, Perry Besong, Dennis Cabrera, and George Camacho.
The No Zone-Law & Order tiff will start at 7:30pm.
Both teams just came off similar sorry losses with No Zone losing to Docomo last Jan. 29, while Law & Order dropped its game against DLNR via forfeit due to lack of players.
No Zone will be banking on Ken Kalen, Nick Guerrero, Jerry Ayuyu, Ned Norita, Manny Sablan, Frank Pangelinan, Carl Hocog, Bruce Norita, Jess Wabol, Ed Diaz, and Norris Kwon.
It will be a battle between cellar-dwellers in the 8:30pm third game as Mayor’s Office squares off against Hopwood Junior High School.
Mayor’s Office carries a 2-10 record, while the league’s favorite whipping team, Hopwood, is still in search of its first win of the season following 11 starts.
