A sad new year for GTC

This letter is in response to the cover of Friday’s front page (Jan. 23, 2009), titled “Fitial overrules NMHC, cancels school project.” It makes me sad to see that many of the students will not be able to attend classes due to termite-infested classrooms. GTC, parents, and PSS who have worked so hard to get the block grant from NMHC now see their efforts literally stomped by our highest leader just makes me feel sick to my stomach. The people who worked hard for the efforts in improving the school and granted that money should determine its use. I don’t go to GTC, but I, and possibly many others who have read this article, probably shook their heads in disappointment.
