Guam Vet Center to extend services to Saipan
The Guam Vet Center is making plans to extend its services to Saipan every month in an effort to address the needs of veterans residing in the CNMI.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Office of Military/ Veterans Affairs said the Guam Vet Center wants combat veterans in the CNMI to consider and include the center as a provider for their readjustment counseling needs.
“The Guam Vet Center is committed to providing quality readjustment services to returning war veterans,” the statement says.
As part of this effort, the Guam Vet center will be hosting an information and counseling session for all combat veterans and their dependents on Jan. 28 and 29, at the Office of Military and Veterans Affair on Capital Hill, Building 1364.
Catherine Illarmo, the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Team Leaders/LCSW from the Guam Vet Center, will be available on Jan. 28, 2009, from 9am to 4pm and on Jan. 29, 2009, from 9am to 12 noon.
“This opportunity is critical and it is important that the veterans attend in order to ensure services and that the services the center plans to provide correspond with your needs,” the statement said.
In additions to this, there will be a limited number of individual counseling appointments available.
