Five questions for the governor

An open letter to my District 4 Representatives: Joe Camacho and Justo Quitugua: The governor is personally and totally responsible for the management of CUC. He has others doing the work but, as Harry Truman said, the buck stops on his desk. I have five questions that I would like someone to ask him, just to get an update! All the questions have been pending for many years; the folks of the CNMI need some answers. You are working hard for us so I hope that you can help. The people of the CNMI should not forget these key problems at the CUC.

1) What progress has been made to lower line losses?

2) Has the program to switch CUC to low cost fuel moved forward?

3) Are accounts receivable under control and being reduced?

4) The repairs to the power plants, are they going to be completed this year (2009)?

5) Will the various “loans” and lawsuits be settled in 2009?

You two are in the position to formally put these questions to the governor in a resolution. I want the answers to come from him, not from one of his staff. He personally must stand up and take responsibility. We are lucky to have you two watching out for us.
