NMC registration starts Monday
The Northern Marianas College announced yesterday that the registration for its Spring 2009 semester has been set for next week, Jan. 12-17.
NMC said that applications for admission would be accepted on those days.
NMC said application for admissions will be accepted until the last day of registration on Friday Jan. 17, provided that both the English and Math placement tests have been taken.
The dates for the placement tests, as well as other pertinent information, can be found at www.nmcnet.edu.
Before that, NMC is hosting a two-hour Admissions Workshop today, Jan. 10, starting at 9am at Room N5.
This workshop is designed for students who want information about NMC’s degree and certificate programs.
It is also to guide them in filling out the NMC application, federal financial aid forms, and other pertinent documents.
Rosaline Cepeda, NMC’s director of Admissions and Records, said the school offers many opportunities for personal growth.
“We’re strongly encouraging prospective students to take advantage of the workshop so they can see how we can help them meet their professional and educational goals,” she said.
The workshop is free for everyone, including graduating seniors and their parents, government and private sector employees, international students, and the public.
NMC said there would be no formal agenda for the workshop.
Prospective students can come in anytime between 9am and 11am and a member of the OAR Department will assist them.
NMC offers several degree and certificate programs, including a bachelor of science degree in elementary education, associate degrees in business, liberal arts, nursing, natural resource management, criminal justice, hospitality management, and more. Moreover, it offers certificate programs in different vocational, academic, and professional areas.
