The TakeCare Foundation presented $10,500 in grants to three local, non-profit organizations including the Guam Diabetes Association, The Salvation Army Guam Corps—Lighthouse Recovery Center, and Big Brothers Big Sisters Guam on Nov. 19, 2008, at the TakeCare Administrative Offices in Tamuning.

The Foundation is composed of employees of TakeCare Insurance and the FHP Health Center who are devoted to charitable and educational causes that enhance the health, wellness and welfare of individuals, families and the public at large. It is unique because it is employee-driven.

TakeCare and FHP employees play a major role in assisting with the contributions and the selection process. Through their kind donations, The TakeCare Foundation anticipates the joy they are able to bring to so many people.

The TakeCare Foundation grant presentations occur in two cycles, in June and December, and invites all non-profit organizations to apply for the Foundation Grant at http://www.takecareasia.com/tcfoundation.html. (PR)
