Cuki happy with Trench Warz IX turnout
Trench Warz IX: The Annihilation was a rousing success with the 11 action-packed mixed martial arts fights leaving the audience at the edge of their seats, according to Trench Tech president Cuki Alvarez.
“I was very happy with the event overall. It was a great turnout. We had 11 action-packed MMA bouts with Guam vs. Saipan and the first ever female MMA match,” he said.
Alvarez also thanked the MMA-loving public for coming in droves to watch the event, which was held last Dec. 12 at the Royal Taga Hall of Saipan World Resort.
“Certainly I would like to say thank you to all the fans for supporting mixed martial arts and Trench Tech and coming out and watching Trench Warz IX! During these economic crisis, the best remedy for stress and tough, hard times is good old fashion entertainment and I am just happy to be able to bring the people of Saipan a healthy dose of excitement! Trench Tech is committed to continue bringing top caliber MMA events to the awesome fight fans of the CNMI for many years to come!” he added.
Alvarez also extended his kudos to sponsors of Trench Warz IX: The Annihilation “for all their untiring help and support the past four years.”
He said the event wouldn’t have been possible without the help of main sponsors MARPAC/Bud Light and Docomo Pacific. He also thanked Aquarius Beach Towers, Chalan Kanoa Beach Club, Budget Rent A Car, Island Equipment Rental, Master Construction, Hagu Next Sports Apparrel, Fokai International, 360 Revolving Restaurant, Power 99, Borderline, 6-7-Zero Rock Steady Shop, Hannam Market, and Mobil Kagman for sponsoring the Trench Warz IX.
