Chamber meeting tomorrow

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will hold its October general membership luncheon meeting tomorrow, Oct. 5, 2011, at the Pacific Islands Club. Luncheon will begin at 11:30am and the general membership meeting will begin at noon.

The SCC October meeting keynote speaker will be Bob Jones, decades an investor on Saipan, in Guam and throughout Micronesia. Jones is president and CEO for many local businesses, including Triple J Enterprises and his new venture, Sandy Beach Homes. Also on the meeting’s agenda will be a wrap-up presentation on the recently concluded USCIS educational presentations and the just released SCC 2011 Survey of Wages, Salaries and Benefits among Jobs and Organizations in the CNMI.

The lunch will cost $15 for members, $20 for guests and non-members. (SCC)

Kagman High sets Open House night

Kagman High School is inviting all KHS parents to attend our 2nd Annual Open House night on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 5pm to 7pm. This year is an accreditation year and we need parent participation more than ever! The event begins on time so don’t be late! Parent orientation is in the cafeteria and starts at 5pm. There will be free refreshments and free raffles at the end of this event. You must be present to win! Students will earn class points if their parent participates. Class points will be added to the coveted Class of the Year title. Students can also earn extra credit in their classes for getting their parents to participate. (PR)
