KHS, MHS cadets team up for DEQ cleanup

This was the first time that these three organizations came together to perform a community service project.

DEQ provided the trash bags, rubber gloves, water, and juices for the 38 volunteers from the two JROTC units.

The cadets collected two truckloads of debris to be hauled away.

“This is a team work at its best and we hope to work together more to accomplish other projects for our community,” said KHS’ MSG James R. Burke. “This teaches our young citizens to volunteer to help others and to keep our islands clean and beautiful.”(PR)
