The awards banquet for this Sunday’s Refaluwasch Golf Association 2008 Club Championship will be held at the Kili Café of Hyatt Regency Saipan.

Aside from feting the winners of the yearend competition, RGA would also present the proceeds from its Inaugural Memorial Classic to this year’s beneficiary, Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School

The Kingfisher Golf Links in Talafofo will host this year’s Club Championship, which will have a tee time of 11am following a 10am check in.

Tournament director Jess Wabol said the winner of the 2008 Club Championship gets to pocket $250 in cash, while runners-up take home $200 and $100.

Aside from the purses for the Top 3 winners, closest-to-the-pin prizes in all par-3 holes will also be up for grabs.

Wabol said RGA will also honor monthly winners of the year as well as award winners of the Most Putts, Least Putts, High Gross, Low Gross, Most Birdies, Most Pars, Most Bogeys, Most Double Bogeys, and Most Triple Bogeys categories.

Entry fee for the yearend competition varies from member to member, as those who took part in at least 10 rounds and played in the Inaugural RGA Memorial Classic the past year will only need to fork out $30.

Those who played in the Memorial but failed to participate in at least 10 of RGA’s monthly and qualifying tournaments, meanwhile, will have to part with $80, while the regular fee is $100.

RGA members that qualified for the yearend golf tourney are Luis Byun (January), Asterio Tawanpiy (February), Jess Wabol (March), John Mettao (April), Joe Demapan (May), Jordan Kossam (June), Manny Mangarero (July), Nick Sablan (August), Tars Olopai (September), Sonny Flores (October), Bae Yong Man (November), and Dwain Stephens (December).
