28 used cars sold in November

The Commonwealth Auto Dealer’s Association reported a decrease in used cars sold in November compared to October.

According to the latest CADA figures released yesterday, the CNMI’s three car dealers sold 28 used cars in November, down from 38 in October.

Microl Corp. sold the most used cars at 10, while Triple J and Joeten each sold nine used cars. Microl posted a 35.7 percent share of the market for the month while Joeten and Triple J each posted a 32.1 percent share.

Microl also has sold the most secondhand cars so far this year (130). Triple J is second with 114 units and Joeten is third at 100 cars sold. Microl Corp. leads the market share for the year at 37.8 percent. Triple J has a 33.1 percent share so far this year and Joeten Motors has posted a 29.1 percent share.

Altogether, the three dealerships have sold 344 secondhand cars so far this year.

New car sales fell 55 percent last month after the islands’ three auto dealerships sold only 22 units in November 2008 compared to the 49 in November 2007.
