A masseuse has filed a lawsuit against her former employers for allegedly refusing to pay her unpaid wages and liquidated damages despite an administrative order issued by the Department of Labor.

Yan Zhen Wang sued the American Sai Green Corp., which owns Asahi Health Massage, and its owners Yan Sun, Jian Dong, and Chang Guang Li.

Wang, through counsel S. Joshua Berger, asked the Superior Court to order the defendants to pay her $7,759.20 in damages plus pre-judgment interest, and court costs.

Wang was employed with Asahi Health Massage as a masseuse.

Berger said that on June 25, 2008, Labor issued an administrative order finding the defendants liable to pay Wang $7,759.20 in unpaid wages and liquidated damage.

“Defendants have not paid any of the amount owed to plaintiff. Defendants are presently in default…in the amount of $7,759.20,” the lawyer said.
