Enough!

Where is our fair share of price reduction for gas? Price per barrel is now around $57 in the U.S. and Asia. When the price of a barrel of gas was at the peak of $140, we were paying $5.05 per gallon at the pump. Gas should be less than $3 per gallon now in the CNMI. There has been a 60 percent reduction in the price per barrel worldwide and therefore, there should also be a 60 percent reduction in the price per gallon.

-$140 x .40 = $57 per barrel

-$5.05 x .40 = $2.02 per gallon

We should be paying about $2.50 per gallon in the CNMI. The U.S. is paying less than $2 per gallon on average. While the rest of the world is experiencing savings, we experience suffering. Enough is enough! Basta ma fababa y taotao. Pat hafa mon?
