SGA November Ace at COP this Sunday
The Saipan Golf Association will be holding its November Ace Tournament at the Coral Ocean Point course this Sunday.
Tee time is at 9am, while show time is set for 8am.
The November Ace is one of the three tournaments left in the SGA calendar of events for 2008. Actually, the weekend tournament will be SGA’s 2008 Annual Turkey Shootout, but the SGA member with the lowest net score gets to take the monthly plum.
Members/players present at the award ceremony will receive turkeys, regardless of their performance in the two tournaments.
Entrance fee is $35 for the two events.
After the Sunday’s tournament, SGA will be holding the December ace of the month event on Nov. 30 with the winner claiming the December ace title and earning the last ticket to the Ace of the Aces Tournament. The last monthly event will be held at the Marianas Country Club in Marpi.
Tee and show time will be announced later
The Ace of the Aces Tournament, which is SGA’s club championship, will be played in two rounds. The first round will be held on Dec. 13 at the Kingfisher Golf Links, while the second round will take place at COP on Dec. 14.
So far, qualifiers for the Ace of Aces Tournament include Mariano Fajardo, Joe Sablan, Ned Norita, Larry Deleon Guerrero, Carl Hocog, Edward Manibusan, Nobert Sablan, Ron Hodges, Art Deleon Guerrero, and Steve Balakrishna.
Monthly winners and the Ace of the Aces champion will receive their trophies during the awards banquet/SGA Christmas Party on Dec. 19 at Charley’s Cabaret at the Pacific Islands Club.
