Retroactive for Rota
Regarding the retroactive for Rota, when will this matter ever be solved? When will our leaders realize one day that this is a really serious matter, especially to those who are relying on their retroactive? It’s been years and now another election is fast approaching. This was made a promise and the promise was not accomplished. Were those promises made just so that the leaders can be seated in power, not for what they actually can do to help the entire CNMI? This is no game because it deals with every individual’s lives, those individuals who are awaiting their pay. I believe there were funds appropriated for the retroactive pay for Rota and it was made into law. Why aren’t they being used for its purpose? To our leaders who are representing the beautiful island of Rota, I say you should help the people and listen to their voices of concerns for they believed in you as true leaders who care for your people’s needs. There should be an initiative to solve this matter. The “retroactive” can’t be used as a promise just to get seated and be elected to do nothing. You are getting paid to show that you are willing to lend a helping hand. When you say the word promise, then do the job. Remember that you leaders are being counted on to bring this solution up so that it can be fulfilled.
For those of you who plan on running for the general election, please think and ask yourselves these questions prior to making your final decision to serve.
* Am I the person who can help each and everyone who is in need?
* Am I the person who can gain trust and be trusted?
* Am I the person who knows what changes need to be done?
* Am I the person who can keep promises and fulfill them?
* Am I the person who can negotiate for my island and believe that responsibility is my top priority?
* Am I the person who actually believe that ” once a true leader, always a true leader?
* Am I the person who can lead my people and my community toward success?
If you answer the above questions positively, then keep in your heart that you are a “true leader.”
