Govt softball league meeting today
Organizers of the Inter-Government Softball League are calling on team representatives to attend a meeting today at 10am at the conference room of the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.
Joey Dela Cruz of the Division of Sports and Recreation said it is important for team representatives/coaches to attend the meeting as they will be discussing the league format, rules, and other details of the league today.
Dela Cruz added that the deadline for the submission of entrance fee is set for Oct. 22. Teams are also asked to submit their rosters and attend the last meeting next week.
Organizers are still finalizing the opening date of the league, which drew 19 teams last season.
The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs is this year’s defending champion in both the men’s and women’s divisions.
DCCA ruled the men’s division after whipping Aguaguat in the deciding Game 3, 43-11. DCCA was also the pennant champion last year, finishing the regular season with an unbeaten 18-0 record.
DCCA completed its domination of the league, sweeping Northern Marianas College in the best-of-three title series in the women’s division.
