Eagles seek 5th straight win against Knights
Grace Christian School will try to keep its momentum going when the Eagles resume their cancelled game against the Mount Carmel Knights today in the junior varsity division of the 2008 Private Schools Sports Association Volleyball League.
A heavy downpour forced the cancellation of games yesterday afternoon in different venues.
Over at the Navy Hill, host GCA was leading the game over visiting MCS when rain fell.
The Eagles won the first set against the Knights, 25-15, and need only one more set to continue their winning rampage in the three-week old league.
The game is set at 3:30pm at the Eagles’ home court in Navy Hill.
The Eagles are undefeated after four games. Their victims include Saipan Community last Sept. 9, SIS-Green last Sept. 11, Whispering Palms last Sept. 16, and Calvary Christian Academy last Sept. 18.
Also to be played today will be the cancelled game between the high school division’s four-time defending champion GCA and MCS.
The Eagles are also undefeated in three games in the varsity division, while the Knights have a 2-1 win-loss record.
The Eagles defeated SIS Green last Sept. 11, MBA last Sept. 12, and CCA last Sept. 18.
Other games scheduled yesterday were between SIS-Blue and MBA in the high school division, WPS vs. CCA in middle school, SIS-Green vs. Seventh Day Adventist (both), and Saipan Community vs. SIS-Blue (middle school).
