The Emergency Management Office, in conjunction with U.S. Naval Forces Marianas Guam, said the U.S. military would be conducting live fire training and aerial survey on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla starting Monday next week.

The schedule dates and time are as follow:

* Sept. 22, from 8am to 12pm – Aerial survey

* Sept. 22, from 12pm to 6:30pm – Live fire training

* Sept. 23 – 26, from 5am to 12:59am – Live fire training

The general location of this activity will be on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla Training Area on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.

Due to the danger imposed by this activity, EMO is advising the public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators—to stay away from this area during the time and dates indicated.

For more information, contact the EMO’s Operations Section at telephone numbers 322-9528 and 322-9529, VHF MARINE CHNL 16, and HF Single Side Band Radio on 5.205.0. (EMO)
