Joey de la Cruz hit it big anew as he won the Homerun Derby that served as the side event of the third qualifying tournament of the 2008 Budweiser King and Queen of the Diamonds Modified Co-ed Slow-pitch Softball Tournament at the Capitol Hill Ballfield.

De la Cruz, who played for the eliminated Total Chaos, made six out of 10 to win the contest sponsored by MARPAC and Budweiser.

It was his third of the year.

He also won the derby in the first qualifying round in May by hitting 7-of-10 and two weeks ago in the Marianas Cup.

De la Cruz, who took the first prize of one case of beer and a beach chair, thanked Mark and Bernie Palacios for sponsoring his $10 entry fee.

BJ Sablan of Natibu made three of 10 for second while JR Suel of Shell Marianas was third with one.

Sablan won a beach chair from Budweiser, while Suel went home with a shirt and hat.
