With the economy in shambles, the Carolinian Affairs Office is finding other ways to help offset expenses and continue extending services to the public.

Toward this end, the agency started the Ocean-Site Market last Aug. 27 at the Carolinian Utt in Garapan.

CAO Advisory Committee member Catherine Perry Anderson said the market will be held every Wednesday from 5pm to 9:30pm.

Food will be served at a reasonable $5.

Crafts and other items are also on sale while entertainment numbers will make the day more exciting.

During the first hour of the opening day, at least six vendors were able to set-up their stalls for eager customer who availed of the low prices.

Felix Nogis, who is the coordinator for the market, said they came up with this activity to generate funds for office supplies and other related expenses.

He said they cannot always rely on federal funding.

Angie Iginoef Mangarero said the price of the meal the vendors offer is a good deal.

They are inviting the public to come to the market either to sell their products or as customers.
