Make the monument a reality

I am 19 years old. During my entire high school, my Pacific history class didn’t give me enough information about our Northern Islands. For this reason and more, I am in full support of the marine monument. I wish to further my education in marine biology and work for my people of the Commonwealth. I really want to know more about this area that is so close yet so far. I think that if the area become a monument, marine scientists from around the world will come to our island to explore the area. They will share their knowledge with students like me in high school, and perhaps I could work with them on some of their projects. This would be a real opportunity for me and other students like me. I ask all the people of the islands to work together to make this monument a reality so that we can all benefit.
