YouTube faux pas

So now the governor opts for an appearance on YouTube instead of facing his constituency. Will his cyberspace debut answer any of the following questions, or will his captive audience instead be subjected to spin after evasion while he freely sole-sources power generation contracts while these questions remain unanswered: 1. Exactly what has the government done to alleviate the power crisis since taking office nearly three years ago as it appropriates and diverts funds to CUC that belong to government employees as pension contributions? 2. Why hasn’t the Attorney General insisted on strict performance of the DCM and CISCO contracts AND taken legal action to obtain damages for nonfeasance or malfeasance, while it looks into those additional government officials who have benefited from CUC’s illicit contractual relationships? 3. When the United States government was asked to provide a power barge as an alternative to temporary power generation from Agrekko, why was CUC unable to provide the emergency power plan that the U.S. government paid CUC to develop? 4. Why does the only intelligent discussion of solutions to power problems appear on the editorial pages of the local newspapers instead of in the halls of the legislature or at the table of the governor? (Thanks to Dr. Arkle, Ed Propst, Ruth Tighe, and others). 5. How can CUC continue to charge its customers the highest rates in the nation as well as additional surcharges for nonexistent customer service, when there is no rhyme or reason to the power outages, when no one ever answers the phone on the emergency lines, and when no one takes responsibility for, or even bothers to correct, billing errors? Repeated sleep deprivation and spiraling costs extract a price, governor. Least you forget: your virtual audience is also your true employer, and were CUC truly a private company, you would have been out of business long ago.
