While the general elections are coming around the corner next year, one should take the opportunity to start looking ahead in the right direction.

At this point in time it is premature to underestimate the Fitial administration come the general elections next year. This is to say that the election next year will possibly be a four-way race.

In consideration of all the economic problems that we are now facing in the CNMI, let’s face the facts that these problems were never created by Governor Fitial in the first place. We should look back at history and read what it has spoken of in the past.

The general elections next year will not be about what jobs will be promised to you. It will be about performance and experience of swimming inside the eye of the storm. Gov. Benigno R. Fitial has demonstrated so far his experience and courage of what it takes to swim in the eye of the storm we now face here in the CNMI.

God bless Gov. Ben R. Fitial, now and in the future.
