The CNMI Women’s Golf Association’s July Ace of the Month Tournament belongs to Yuko Togawa after the veteran golfer beat Lorraine Babauta via handicap tiebreak last Saturday at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort west course.

Togawa (41-41, gross 82) and Babauta (39-48, gross 87) finished with identical net scores of 75 but the former’s seven handicap easily trumped the latter’s 12 handicap to take home the July plum.

Two other golfers—Kyung A Yang and Young Mi Ham—actually fired lower net scores than Togawa and Babauta, but failed to submit their score cards, resulting in automatic disqualification.

Noriko Togawa (37-42, gross 79), Sachiko Adachi (53-46, gross 99), and Lourdes Kim (46-45, gross 91) complete the Top 5 for July with net scores of 77, 78, and 79, respectively.
