A man was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill his brother and family with a rifle during their argument over a land dispute on Saipan last Thursday.

Ramon Sablan Tudela was arrested for disturbing the peace and was taken to the Superior Court on Friday for a hearing.

Associate Judge Joseph James Norita Camacho found probable cause to justify the arrest of Tudela as to the charge of disturbing the peace.

Camacho imposed a $1,000 cash bail for Tudela’s temporary release.

A police detective testified that during the argument, a rifle was found in Tudela’s vehicle.

Apparently there was grabbing back and forth of the rifle between the brothers.

The judge prohibited Tudela from consuming any alcoholic beverages and ordered him to stay away from his brother as part of the bail conditions.

In other news, a minor boy and a male teenager were arrested for allegedly entering a poker arcade in Koblerville while intoxicated and threatening to beat up a female cashier on Thursday.

Baxter Tomei was arrested for minor consuming liquor and disturbing the peace.

The court imposed a $50 cash and unsecured bond for Tomei’s temporary release. The case against the minor boy was sealed.

A police detective said Tomei and the boy, who both appeared intoxicated, went inside a poker establishment.

As the cashier asked them to leave, one of the suspects threatened to beat her up if she calls the police.

Responding police officers arrested the two boys as they fled outside.
