Palau’s Toribiong, Kerai arrive today

Palau Ambassador to Taiwan Johnson Toribiong and his running mate, Sen. Kerai Mariur, will be arriving today to hold a campaign rally as part of this year’s Palau general election.

Toribiong and Mariur’s campaign rally will be held today at 1pm at the Minachom Atdao.

Palau Vice President and Minister of Justice Elias Camsek Chin and his running mate, Rep. Alan Seid, arrived Thursday to hold their own campaign rally, which was held Friday night at the Minachom Atdao.

Chin and Seid are scheduled to leave today, while Toribiong and Kerai arrive at 11:30am.

Aileen Kintol, of the Republic of Palau Consulate, said there are approximately 1,000 Palauan voters in the CNMI.

Primary election will be held in September while the general election will be held in November 2008.
