Jordan soars in RGA June Ace

Jordan Kossam won the Refaluwasch Golf Association’s June Ace of the Month Tournament after none of the 15 players that teed off last Sunday topped his qualifying score of net 64.

Kossam fired the score to beat during the June Ace of the Month qualifier held last May 25 at the Coral Ocean Point Golf Resort.

The closest anyone came to beating Kossam’s score was Louie Tilipao, who recorded a net score of 67 after his gross score of 81 (41-40) was sliced by 14 his handicap last Sunday at he Koblerville golf venue.

Joe Demapan and Tars Olopai came in second and third with net scores of 67 and 71, respectively. Demapan came away with a gross score of 82 (42-40), while Olopai had a pre-handicap score of 83 (40-43).

Other RGA members that teed off Sunday, with their scores in parenthesis, were as follows: Joe Lizama (net 71), Bill Kaipat (71), Manny Mangarero (72), Ed Tenorio (72), Dick Pierce (72), Adam Hardwicke (73), Jess Wabol (74), Dwain Stephens (75), Don Fitial (77), Asterio Tawanpiy (77), Andy Nepaial (80), and Joe Wabol (80).

In the closest to the pin, Stephens was without peer in hole No. 3 while Joe Wabol took the prize in hole No. 14.

RGA president Adam Hardwicke also took the opportunity to welcome new members Stephens and Mangarero to the club.
