Garnishment of economic stimulus checks

Should the CNMI government garnish the checks that Uncle Sam will provide us with? Why not? If you owe the CNMI government, they should have the right to collect from you. Their inability to collect is part of why we are experiencing bitter times. That and especially, this administration. Imagine if they can collect on all the millions of dollars lost from corruption. Guam has decided to garnish from people who owe GovGuam. CUC should garnish the stimulus checks from those who owe them so that they can have money to fix the outdated generators and continue to pay their managers unreasonably high salaries. Don’t forget the consultants they always run to. CUC has a huge amount of accounts receivables and that is part of why they aren’t functioning. Privatize CUC, abolish municipal councils, reduce the size of the Legislature, and lower the salaries of judges and government executive directors so that we can have a better quality of life for all.
