Plant-a-Tree and Beach Cleanup

Several organizations and concerned citizens participated in the DEQ Plant A Tree – Beach Cleanup activity held on Friday, April 25. 00 coconut trees, fan palms, foxtail, and hibiscus trees were planted along the coastlines of Paupau, Tanapag 13 Fishermen, Kiliki, Lali 4, and San Antonio beaches. In addition to the planting, participants removed over 1,000 pounds of debris. Special thanks to Seventh Day Adventist School, Palms Resort Saipan, NMC-CREES, DLNR -Agriculture, DLNR Parks and Recreation, Saipan Mayor’s Office, Bureau of Environmental Health, NRCS, MVA, CRM, World Resort Saipan, Historic Preservation Office, DPW, Paseo de Marianas (PDM) Promoters and Pacific Islands Club for taking an active step in protecting our natural resources.
