Butch Sigua tops April Ace
Butch Sigua emerged victorious in the April Ace of the Month Tournament of Fil-Taga Golf Association held last Sunday, April 20, at the Laolao Bay Golf Resort east course.
This after the businessman shot net 63, which was three strokes better than February winner and Senate President Pete P. Reyes’ 66.
Sigua got to the top of the monthly golf tournament of Fil-Taga after his 24 handicap helped him trim the 87 gross he shot last weekend at the Kagman golf venue. Reyes, meanwhile, had a better day on the greens with a gross of 76 that went well with his 10 handicap.
Rey Ferraz closed out the Top 3 with his net 66—built around a gross of 90 and a handicap of 24. Ferraz had to settled for third place after being nosed out by Reyes on scorecard tiebreak.
Fred Cataluna (net 69), Fr. Manny Corcuera (69), Jhun Calma (69), Henry Bautista (70), Nestor Siruelo (70), James Lin (72), Mando Guban (73), 2007 Golfer of the Year Ralph Yumul (75), Rene Batallones (75), Jess Yumul (76), Ted Malaran (77), Mike Cruz (78), Lito Mendoza (79), John Matsumoto (79), and Adony Matutino (82) also took part in the April Ace.
